For our research group Light and Optical Technologies, located in Weiz/Styria, we are currently seeking a
Scientist – Laser lithography for integrated photonics and micro-optical structures
on a full-time basis (part-time employment would be conceivable) for a period of three years (project duration). An extension of the contract after this period is possible.
In this position, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team, which you will support in particular in the fabrication and characterization of micro-optical structures and integrated micro-optical components using femtosecond laser lithography.
You preferably have a completed PhD with a strong background in physics or materials science, and ideally have specialized knowledge in laser physics and optics. Preferably, you have knowledge in creating program routines (Python, Matlab, LabView) to control and implement the laser processes and have experience in surface metrology and optical characterization techniques. Excellent spoken and written command of German or English is obligatory.
You are solution-oriented, reliable and have a deep interest in and knowledge of scientific methods and you are motivated to write scientific publications. Furthermore, your personality is characterised by an independent working style, accuracy as well as creativity.
